The younger daughter of South Indian megastar Rajinikanth, Soundarya Rajnikanth has announced her separation from husband-entrepreneur Ashwin Ramkumar. Shaku Bai Rao Gaikwad (a.k.a. - Soundarya Rajinikanth) was earlier married with Ashwin Rajkumar on 3rd September, 2010 at at Rani Meyyammai Hall in Chennai with much fanfare.
She has reportedly filed for divorce at a family court in Chennai recently. The exact reason for the divorce is still now known but Soundarya decided to put an end to the ongoing speculations about her troubled marriage by speaking up about it.
She revealed that the papers for divorce have been filed in a local Chennai family court. According to recent reports, the two have decided to sort this amicably and hence have filed for divorce by mutual consent and the reason is said to be increasing difference of opinion between the couple.
On the career front, Soundarya who had taken a keen liking to graphic designing and production, continues her stints with the film industry. Her next film is VIP 2 (Velaiyilla Pattathari 2) which will star Kajol for the first time opposite Dhanush.
