There are no favourites as such to lift the trophy but if bookies and speculators are to be believed the Cup will be lifted by a country in the Indian sub-continent.
Critics also point out the 50-over format is no longer a crowd-puller over its T-20 counterpart. Whatever be the rumours spreading around, the World Cup fever is in the air, which can be felt by each and every cricket-lover.
